Scrap buster sunburst card
I got the inspiration for this card from one that my friend Rose gave to me. It was made using completely different colours but the technique is the same. You can find your creative inspiration anywhere! I kind of want to start making Christmas cards but September seems too early. So I'm using the scraps from this month's Super Stamp Saturday kit. You start with a wedge about 1" wide and a bit over 4" long. Then you just keep adding wedges till you're happy. Then I added some glitter washi tape. π
You can see the video of how I made it here https://www.facebook.com/stampingwithrenee/videos/499879468650147

Bendy card fun fold
I've seen lots of bendy card fun folds but this one is my current favourite. It's been quite popular in the SU team I'm part of. First Rose made one with the All Bundled Up stamp set and then Denise make one with the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set. I used the By My Side stamp set for my bendy card. You can use just about any stamp set! I liked mixing 3 different Designer Series Papers on this card. They seemed to work well together - what do you think? To see how I made it, go to my FB page www.facebook.com/stampingwithrenee
Here are the measurements:
Old Olive base: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" scored at 2-3/4"

Christmas Scottie bundle
I love stamps that have punches to go with them. It makes it so easy to create! So this Scottie set was on my wish list since the holiday catalogue came out. It has a very Christmasy feel but I wasn't quite ready for Christmas cards. So I present to you Fall Scotties!

Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper
Are we ready for Autumn? I'm not ready to let go of summer yet. So this is a post about beautiful colours but not Autumn yet. π The Rustic Harvest DSP reminds me of my Granny. She loved these colours! We're using this paper for September's Super Stamp Saturday. So I sat down to design my card and made a few before I settled on the one I will teach. This one is a favourite from my designing session. I featured it in my FB live video this morning. Head over here www.facebook.com/stampingwithrenee to see how I made it.
Isn't this paper cozy and gorgeous! Order yours here https://www.stampinup.ca/products/rustic-harvest-12-x-12-30-5-x-30-5-cm-designer-series-paper

With a new catalogue comes new In Colours. Have you seen them?? Which colour is your favourite? Mine is Parakeet Party, of course. I used a bit of that ribbon on my card.

Hand-Penned Memories and More
For my video this morning I wanted to showcase one of my favourite things from the catalogue. The Memories and More card packs were designed with scrapbooking in mind and they make quick easy cards when combined with the coordinating cards and envelopes pack. When the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set was first released I fell in love with it! The stamps and dies are in the new annual catalogue but the card pack and envelopes are retiring. I played with them all week and came up with 9 cards and a double page scrapbook layout. And there's LOTS more product left to make more cards etc! Don't miss out on this beautiful product!

Rock 'n' Roll technique
Tuesday is my favourite day of the week! I do a Facebook live video every Tuesday morning at 9:30 where I demonstrate 2 cards. They are usually fairly simple as I try to stick to 30 minutes. I like to show a technique or cool fun fold or something neat. This week I showed the Rock 'n' Roll technique with the peach stamp. You'll need 2 ink pads in the same colour - 1 lighter 1 darker like Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody. First ink up your stamp in the lighter colour then using a rolling motion just ink up the edges with the darker colour. Go check out my video on my Stamping with RenΓ©e Facebook page for all the details!
I used the Handsomely Suited set for the next card. This is a keeper for sure! As of this blog post it's not sold out. The dies that go with this are amazing!!

Get them before they're gone!
Last chance items! Do you have a wish list? I do! When we get a new catalogue I make my list and then I get those items as the year goes on. Some items are retiring at the end of this month! And lots of them are on sale up to 50% off!! So make sure to order your must have items before they sell out. The retiring In-Colours will sell fast - they always do. So grab your reinkers and cardstock ASAP! I had to have a refill on all my Just Jade things. It's my favourite green! What's your fave In-Colour?

New Stamp of the Month Kit!!
It's March already! I'm not sad to see February go though. I'm ready for Spring. Every time I walk by my front garden patch I am eagerly anticipating the flowers that will grow from the fall bulbs I planted.
Since it is a new month, I have a new Stamp of the Month kit for you! It's the Hello Ladybug stamp set. I think it is so so cute! With each Stamp of the Month kit you get the Featured stamp set, the supplies to make the cards I've designed (usually 6 cards, 2 each of 3 designs), a video tutorial - all shipped right to your door. The cost is $40. This month there's a punch that goes with this stamp set called the Ladybug Builder punch. You can add it to your kit for $20 more. The deadline to order the kit is March 15th. Message me at stampingwithrenee@gmail.com.

Stamping on DSP
This week on my Facebook live video, I showed the technique of stamping on the DSP. First off, what is DSP? Stampin Up! calls their printed/patterned paper Designer Series Paper which is a mouthful so we say DSP most of the time. When you stamp on DSP it's already coloured in for you! I like to choose a stamp with lots of open spaces - one I would normally colour in with our Blends etc. To take it a step further, you can then cut out the stamped image and adhere it to your card making it part of the rest of the stamped image. I did this for the girl's dress on the card where she's catching butterflies.

Stamp of the Month "club"
Hello friends!
I want to introduce my stamp of the month club! How does it work, you ask? Each month I will feature a new stamp set that makes me happy. I'll design 4 cards using just that set. If that stamp set makes you happy too, join the club that month and I'll send you the card pieces all cut out and ready for you to create. What if you already have that stamp set? You can substitute a stamp set of equal value and I'll still send you the card supplies! That could really make you happy, right! The fee each month is $42. That includes the stamp set (valued at about $30), the card supplies, a how to video and shipping to your door! There's no commitment to join every month but you'll want to I'm sure of it! When you have purchased 6 kits, you'll get a gift from me. Sign up is by the 15th of each month.
From now till February 15th the Stamp of the Month is Nuts & Bolts. It was one of the very first sets I had to buy from the new catalogue. Aren't those robots the cutest!? Here's a sneak peak at some of the cards you'll get supplies for.
Message me to join before February 15th! Happy Stamping!

It's all about the love today!
Happy Tuesday!
I struggle a bit with Valentine's cards. I usually don't have a sweetheart to gush over and make cards for so I tend to skip the whole Valentine's thing. But this year I remembered the times my mom made notes or cards or treats for us kids. I kept some of them and they are in my scrapbooks. So instead of focusing on mushy, romantic love I made cards that you can give to anyone that you love. Today on my live video, I showed a way to use the Brave Vikings stamp set to make a great masculine love card. This is Ray the Red! Isn't he handsome? He says "I've taken a viking to you" π
I used the Always in my Heart stamp set for the second card I demonstrated this morning. I used a technique (I don't know if it has a name) where I traced a shape (the heart) and then used the smaller stamps around the shape. This can be left as it is or you can place the shape on top so the stamping is seen around the edges of the shape. I put the heart on dimensionals to make it stand out. I used the gorgeous soft velvet Mint Macaron ribbon to finish it off.
